Clutter sets your boundaries by taking up valuable real estate in your home and office. A cluttered home dictates your lifestyle instead of supporting it. Clutter sucks up your energy and raises your frustration level when you have to look for things and hard earned money when you replace something you either don’t know you have or can’t find.
Do you face overstuffed closets that begin your morning ritual stressed? Do you think your kitchen is too small? Are your cabinets and drawers packed? Is your kitchen so cluttered that the idea of cooking anything is overwhelming?
Clutter sets your boundaries in other ways. It can isolate you by reducing your desire to entertain guests. Think of the example an excess of stuff sends to your children. It limits your movement through your space. limiting how you can use your space and is possibly a safety hazard. An overflowing space makes it difficult and more time consuming to try to clean.
Walk through your space and stand in each room. Just stand in there and verbalize to yourself how you feel about the space. Do you feel calm or are you beginning to feel uncomfortable? Have you opened the door and said to yourself ‘I can’t deal with this now’?
De-cluttering give you peace, space. more money, more time and freedom.
